| Heavenly Father, We stand before you,
touching and agreeing (St Matthew 18:19) with fellow believers all over the world,
asking for your continued mercy and strength during this time of
national tragedy. We are comforted knowing that you are
with us for you have promised that you would not leave us nor
forsake us (St Matthew 28:20).
During this time, our hearts goes out to everyone who has
suffered loss. We mourn with all those who mourn and we
weep with those who weep. We pray that you would comfort
us in our time of loss and that you would fill us with the peace of God, which passeth all
understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We pray that you would guide our President and the other leaders
of our nation in making wise decision in leading your
people. Grant them the wisdom and strength they need to
carry out the work that lies before them.
We pray that you would strengthen the agencies involved in the
recovery efforts. We ask that you guide their hands as
they seek to save and provide support to the victims of this
tragedy. We pray for those who are
seeking answers that they will find comfort and trust in your
presence. We pray that you
would, once again, as in the beginning, unite us as one nation
under God, as our fore fathers once proclaimed in the laws and
principles establishing our nation. We pray that you would
fill our hearts with joy and peace as we turn our hearts to you.
We humbly submit our selves to you and to your will and pray to
you in sincerity and truth and trust you for all blessing.
We thank you for your blessings, both past present and future,
and thank you that you will carry us through this day to a
greater day. We ask and receive
these blessings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ, AMEN! Rev. Kelvin G. Franklin.
